The Swiss -Bulgarian Association of Culture has donated a grand piano „Schmidt Flohr“ for the new Centre of Culture ‘Petar Zhekov’ in Stara Zagora. It is located in the chamber hall, where concerts and competitions of students from the National School of Performing Arts ‘Hristina Morfova’ will be held. Mihaela obtained her Masters degree in Music from the Hochschule der Künste Bern and her Bachelors degree from the Music Academy Pancho Vladigerov, Bulgaria. Mihaela currently performs as a keyboard player with the Sankt Gallen Symphony Orchestra and also plays with various chamber music ensembles. In founding the Schweizerisch-Bulgarischer Kulturverein she aims to translate the Swiss model of developing the cultural lives of youngsters through art activities to her home country, Bulgaria. Thanks to the charity concerts in Switzerland and Bulgaria, donations from the Jacaranda Foundation Switzerland, from Lions Club – Stara Zagora, from Music House Kupfershmid St. Gallen, as well as sponsors who wished to remain anonymous, we were able to raise the necessary amount to purchase a new grand piano for the Hristina Morfova Music School in Stara Zagora.
